When a family café is truly family

In the heart of the Bohemian Switzerland, in the town of Rumburk, sprawling under the Dymník hill, there is a café on the main street, which is known by almost every local and where it really lives. Whether you are just passing through the town or wondering where to end your trip after the surrounding views, your attention should not miss the café & roastery of the Dužár family - Bohemian Coffee House.

The smell of fresh coffee, fragrant cakes and pies wafts through the air daily and you can order anything from their breakfast menu throughout the day. In the morning, the most popular are the eggs in many ways and in the afternoon the famous pancakes with fruit coulis, which are made in the kitchen by Mrs. Dužárová herself. But you can try much more. Whether you choose waffles, the famous moss cake or the sandwich with a poached egg, which is said to be a kind of local "cheesecake", you are guaranteed to enjoy yourself here.

In the café, you will be smiled at from the door by their staff, who will gladly guide you to the raised outdoor garden at the back of the café during sunny days, and if you are in our region on a bike trip, know that this is not a problem here either. The owner of the café is a big cycling enthusiast, so you'll find a parking space inside for your two-wheeled darlings.

Relaxing with a cup in hand

The best this place has to offer is of course their premium coffee, roasted by the owner himself and his son David. It's not very common in Czech cafes, but they always have two types of coffee on the grinder - medium and dark roast. What's more, you can have a batch brew here. Again, either medium or dark roast. That's four different types of coffee in one day - a must for any big coffee drinker.

Due to the seasonal conditions in regions around the world, the range of coffees is always changing regularly. Don't worry though, Mr. Dužár himself or the baristas behind the counter will always be happy to help you with your coffee selection. Don't hesitate to contact them if you want to take their precision roasted selection of coffees home with you, you just don't quite know which one to choose. There's a package to suit everyone's taste ambitions.

Tip

The café serves as a kind of public gallery. Every month there is a different exhibition. Sometimes it's historical bicycles, sometimes oil paintings. Interesting cultural events are regularly held here.
