6. Who can become a member of the DF?
Any legal entity or individual may become a member of the DF, not only from the Bohemian Switzerland region—which includes the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, the Elbe Sandstone Mountains Protected Landscape Area, part of the Lusatian Mountains Protected Landscape Area and the Šluknov Hook, parts of the Děčín District, and adjacent areas, but also from elsewhere, provided they agree with the principles and objectives of the DF Declaration and express their consent by paying an annual membership fee. Membership is open to municipalities and cities, private entities in the hospitality and hotel industries, accommodation providers, tourism service providers, non-profit organizations, and private individuals.
7. Establishment and Termination of Membership in the Destination Fund
7. Establishment and termination of DF membership
An entity becomes a member of the DF by signing the Accession Agreement or by paying the membership fee, which also constitutes an expression of consent to the terms of the Declaration. The Destination Fund Administrator reserves the right to decide against accepting a new member due to an obvious conflict with the DF’s values. The membership fee is due by January 31 of the calendar year in which membership is renewed. Payment of the fee automatically renews membership. An entity ceases to be a member of the DF if it fails to pay the annual membership fee or upon a proposal by the Advisory Board, if the member’s activities are in conflict with the values set forth in the Declaration. A DF member proposed for expulsion may contest the proposal through an oral or written defense submitted to the Advisory Board.
By joining the Destination Fund, the entity agrees to undergo an independent satisfaction survey, which is guaranteed by CzechTourism in accordance with the specific "Methodological Procedure for Evaluating the Satisfaction of Destination Management Organizations" (the survey is conducted via a questionnaire).
8. Advisory Board of the Bohemian Switzerland Destination Fund
8. Advisory Board of the Destination Fund of Bohemian Switzerland
The Advisory Board (hereinafter referred to as the “AB”) is a supporting body of the Destination Fund with no legal status. The AC participates in decision-making regarding the direction and activities of the Destination Fund. The goal of the AC is to facilitate joint discussion among representatives on current tourism issues in the Bohemian Switzerland region, to reach a consensus, and to coordinate the region’s marketing, project, and development initiatives.
Representation on the Advisory Board:
The Fund Manager decides on the nomination of PS members according to the following criteria:
- The administrator of the České Švýcarsko o.p.s. fund,
- a representative from the Ústí nad Labem Regional Authority,
- 8 members representing cities and municipalities,
- 8 members representing companies, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit organizations,
- Guest PS.
The PS makes decisions by majority vote. A resolution is valid if it is approved by more than half of the members and does not conflict with the principles of the DF.
At the invitation of the Fund Administrator, a representative from the Ústí Region Regional Authority, or a member of the Steering Committee, other entities from the fields of public administration, nonprofit organizations, nature conservation, and tourism may also participate in the meetings. Members from all three membership levels of the Destination Fund—Mini, Standard, Premium, and Premium Plus—may become members of the Steering Committee representing companies and entrepreneurs.
Commencement and termination of membership in the Advisory Board:
Any member of the DF or their representative may voluntarily become a member of the PS if they wish to actively participate in the PS’s activities.
The current list of Advisory Board members is available on the website www.ceskesvycarsko.cz under the "Destination Fund" section.
Membership terminates upon a member’s voluntary decision to cease their activities in the PS. Membership also terminates due to prolonged absence from PS meetings, i.e., for a period of one year.
Detailed information about the Advisory Board is regularly updated and available on the website www.ceskesvycarsko.cz, in the Destination Fund section.
