To Komáří hůrka along the Erzgebirge Highway

The trip starts in Děčín.

From the Přípeř crossroads, take cycle route No. 23, which is also called the Krušnohorská magistrála.

Děčín – Sněžník – Tisá – Adolfov – Komáří hůrka – Krupka – Teplice

And it is to the Ore Mountains that this bicycle tour is heading. From Děčín it is first a pretty sharp climb, all the way to the village of Sněžník. Here, after climbing more than 450 metres, you can refresh yourself in the Swiss House restaurant.

Then continue along cycle route No. 23 to Tisá, where the beautiful rock town is worth a visit. But you have to explore it only on foot and you have to lock your bicycle at a tourist hut.

After a tour of the sandstone labyrinth, the Erzgebirge Highway will take you to the Erzgebirge Mountains, which geographically begin between the villages of Tisá and Petrovice. Through Krásný Les and Nakléřov you will reach Adolfov.

Soon, the destination of the bike tour – Komáří hůrka – will appear in front of you. The 808-metre high mountain is a popular tourist destination all year round. There is a mountain hotel with a restaurant at the top and one of the oldest cable cars in the Czech Republic runs here.

Cyclists will certainly welcome the possibility of refreshments and enjoy unique views of the ridge of the Ore Mountains and the peaks of the Bohemian Central Highlands. After that, you will have a great downhill to Krupka, which, like the landscape around Komáří hůrka, is part of the Krupka Mining Landscape.

From Krupka, it is only a short walk to the spa town of Teplice, where the train will take you back to Děčín.
