Retracing the Tour de Zeleňák
Follow the route of a race whose history dates back to 1984.
The Tour de Zeleňák is always organized on the first Saturday in September, but you can ride the route at any time.
Rumburk – Jiříkov – Šluknov – Lobendava – Dolní Poustevna – Brtníky – Staré Křečany – Rumburk
Starting from the Rumburk Information Center, ride through 2. polské armády Street and turn on Jiříkovská Street, which turns into Rumburská about halfway between Rumburk and Jiříkov.
Just behind the square in Jiříkov, turn left onto the cycle route No. 3043, which you will leave shortly after the Nový Jiříkov lookout point. Continue along the road to Království, where you can make a stop to walk the Way of the Cross.
Then get back on the road and follow it all the way to Šluknov, the route will take you to the jewel of the Saxon Renaissance, the Šluknov Castle.
From Šluknov Square, take Dr. Edvard Beneš Street, which will lead you towards Lipová. The local castle there is undergoing reconstruction and if you are lucky you may be able to visit it.
Just short of Lobendava, stop at the Gentsemanské zahrady below Anenský vrch and in Lobendava, rejoin No. 3043 towards Dolní Poustevna. Behind the municipality, turn onto Vilémovská Street.
In Vilémov, take a look at the historic viaduct and connect to No. 3014 towards Mikulášovice.
Before climbing to Horní Mikulášovice, cool yourself at the Mikulášovice swimming pool. In Brtníky, exit route No. 3014 just short of Křížový vrch and return to Rumburk via Staré Křečany.
