The Loreto Festival in Rumburk

The Loreto Festival in Rumburk is held in Loreto Rumburk – a baroque complex and Marian pilgrimage site from the 18th century. It is a half-day theater and music festival for the whole family. The festivities have been held since 1997 to commemorate the completion and consecration of the Loreto Chapel of the Virgin Mary on 15. 9. 1707. The date is variable, always the second Saturday in September.

The Loreto festivities in Rumburk have both a spiritual and secular dimension.

The Loreto Chapel with its cloister in Rumburk is a living sacral cultural monument that is open year-round for cultural and educational activities.

They are designed as a half-day theater and music festival for the whole family. They take place in an architecturally valuable Baroque area and a Marian pilgrimage site from the 18th century. They offer a day’s experience in the Baroque era. A permanent part of the program are also musical performances by children’s choirs from the region, concerts of historical and classical music, theater fairy tales, creation in art workshops, etc.

In 2025, they take place on Saturday, September 13th
