Prysk

Prysk (German: Preschkau) is a village in the Česká Lípa District, in the western part of the Lusatian Mountains, north of Kamenický Šenov, at an elevation of 468 meters. The village lies within the Lusatian Mountains Protected Landscape Area, in the valley of the Pryský Stream. Today, it serves as a recreational village. The place is first mentioned in 1382 as Pryska (a name derived from the spring—spurting, gushing water). Traditional glassmaking.

What you should see

Church of Saints Peter and Paul – This Baroque church was built by architect and builder Petr Pavel Columbani between 1718 and 1721. In the village of Horní Prysk, it is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic, along with the bell tower and mortuary.
