Bohemian Switzerland is home to a diverse fauna and is one of the most valuable natural areas in the Czech Republic. Landscape of rocks and gorges

The landscape of Bohemian Switzerland was formed tens of millions of years ago, when the whole area was covered by the sea. The gradual deposition of sediments created massive layers of sandstone, which were subsequently shaped by wind, water and frost over millions of years. Thanks to these natural processes, the area today forms a unique world of rock towers, gorges, overhangs and rock gates, which is one of the most exceptional natural landscapes in Europe.
