Three hotels in symbiosis: U Fořta in Mezní Louka, Garden in Mezní and Zámeček in Rynartice

They share some things in common, whilst each is unique in its own way. We present three hotels operated by Symbiola within the national park. Two of them are situated close to one another (the U Fořta Resort and the Garden Hotel Mezná), whilst the third (the Wellness Hotel Zámeček) takes visitors on a journey that feels a bit like ‘to the end of the world’.

Let’s start at U Fořta in Mezní Louka, where there used to be an old forester’s lodge (German: ‘Forsthaus’). Jaroslav Suchánek renovated the building and, over the years, added a hotel, a restaurant and the so-called ‘seníky’ – detached apartments furnished in a modern, minimalist style. The resort also features a renowned restaurant where many specialities are made in-house – such as pâtés or ‘Fořta’s beer-batter crisps’. From 2022, a new wellness centre is also set to open on the premises.

Speaking of wellness, we’ll head over the hills to Zámeček in Rynartice. After all, a sandstone-clad swimming pool isn’t something you find just anywhere. The charm of this hotel, originally a hunting lodge belonging to the Kinsky family from the mid-18th century, lies in its location. It is situated in a more secluded part of the park. At the same time, it’s just a short distance from Jetřichovice.

Just above the hotel lies Křížový vrch, offering a panoramic view. A favourite spot for photographers, from where you can capture the sunrise or sunset over the landscape, dominated by Růžovský vrch and Studenec. The trio of hotels is completed by the Garden Hotel Mezná. It also has its own unique features; from some of the windows you can see Pravčická brána… The hotel is due to undergo renovation in the coming years.

“Its capacity will be increased, and a conference hall and a huge wellness centre with a swimming pool will be built,” reveals hotel manager David Bíróczi.

Work is expected to be completed in 2023. Symbiola also runs the Kapitán restaurant and brewery in Děčín, which supplies beer to the aforementioned hotels. You can sample Kapitán’s light 11° beer or Kormidelník’s dark 13° beer.
