Široký vrch – Karlova výšina viewpoint

Široký vrch (586 m), sometimes also referred to as Karlova výšina, is a long, jingle-stone hill, located about 1.5 km northwest of Rybniště. On its gentle slopes there are several interesting places, accessible by the red tourist trail, which runs along the eastern side of the hill. From the crossroads on the northeastern slope, near the jingle-stone Kočičí skály, a turnoff leads to the Pod Karlovou výšinou lookout, which was arranged as early as 1885 on a rocky promontory on the western slope of the hill. From the lookout, restored in 1997, there is a nice view to the west of the rolling forested landscape of Bohemian-Saxon Switzerland.
