Luž – the highest mountain of the Lusatian Mountains

Nejvyšší hora Lužických hor. Horským hřebenem přes Luž odedávna vedla zemská hranice mezi Čechami a Lužicí. Na svahu se nachází chráněný prales původních porostů. Na vrcholové plošině jsou zbytky honosné turistické chaty, která vyhořela 1. ledna 1946, a dále se zde nachází též dominanta komunikačního převaděče signálů.

The starting point is the Luž chalet in Horní Světlá, where you can park your car for free. The nearby information board and tourist signs will lead you to the top of Luž. Along the way, you can rest at the built and maintained rest areas, and on hot days you can cool off at the spring spring. Do not try to deviate from the tourist route and shorten the way to the top. There is a risk of slipping and injury! The reward for the hike will be endless views beyond the borders of neighboring countries.
