Sightseeing circuit from Chřibská through Brtníky and Vlčí Hora

The thirty-five-kilometer loop through the Kyjov Valley, via Brtníky and Vlčí Hora, will take you to the viewpoints, rock formations and monuments in the heart of Bohemian Switzerland.

The route leads on paved forest paths, off-road, and on the road.

Chřibská – Saula – Doubice – Kyjov Valley – Zadní Doubice – Brtnický most – Kopec – Brtníky – Vlčí Hora – Dlouhý Důl – Krásná Lípa – Chřibská

Begin in Chřibská on cycle route No. 3052, but just after the second crossroads, turn between the houses and head out between the fields towards the Infocenter and the crossroads Na Saule. You can leave your bicycles here and run along the Doubický Brook to the ruins of Chřibská Castle.

Continue on cycle route No. 3029 through Doubice, then you will ride through the shady valley along Křinice, which is icy even in summer. There are viewpoints all around, just stop and run up, or continue along cycle route No. 3032 over the Turistický most to Zadní Doubice, where you will leave the Křinice River and join along the Brtnický Brook, whose course you will follow up to “Kopec” and on to Brtníky, from which you will climb to the second highest peak of the route, Vlčí hora.

Refresh in the Nobilis Tilia Herbal Teahouse, climb up to the lookout tower and continue on towards Sněžná (cycle route No. 3029), from which you descend to Dlouhý Důl, connect to No. 3013 to Krásný Buk and Krásná Lípa.

On the square, visit the House of Bohemian Switzerland for an exhibition and curious souvenirs and to the Falkenštejn Brewery for the best beer far and wide. Don’t overdo it, though, as you’ll have to climb up the bike path No. 211 past Široký vrch and back to Chřibská.
