Along Křinice through the Kyjov Valley to Hřensko

The cycling trip along the Křinická cycling route starts in the heart of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, in the town of Krásná Lípa, where you can first visit the House of Bohemian Switzerland with a beautiful exhibition about nature and landscape and get all the necessary information in the information center.

The cycle trip then leads first along cycle route No. 3013 to Kyjov and from there along cycle route No. 3032.

Krásná Lípa – Kyjov – Kyjov Valley – Hinterhermsdorf – Bad Schandau – Hřensko

The route from Kyjov guides you through the beautiful Kyjov Valley along the Křinice river. A new nature trail Through the Křinice Valley With All Senses was recently opened here.

So sometimes it is worth stopping, getting off the bike, and exploring this wonderful nature trail.

From the crossroads Zadní Doubice – Hraniční most, Křinice forms the border between Bohemia and Saxony. The cycling trail of the same name crosses the border here and continues on through Hinterhermsdorf, past the Lichtenheiner Waterfall to Bad Schandau, where it ends at the Elbe.

From Bad Schandau, follow the Elbe Cycle Trail back to Bohemia to Hřensko.

We recommend using the left-bank option of the Elbe Trail.

In Bad Schandau, take the ferry to Krippen, where you can get on a comfortable cycle path and enjoy beautiful views of the rock formations around the Elbe.

Later, another ferry will take you from Schöna to Hřensko. From Hřensko back to Krásná Lípa, you might enjoy the cyclobus No. 434 operating in the tourist season by Ústí nad Labem Regional Transportation (we recommend checking the operation, dates and times of the cyclobus line on the website www.dopravauk.cz).
