Rathmannsdorf lookout tower

Tato rozhledna byla otevřena 20. října 2007 a měří 15 m. K dispozici je zde výtah – rozhledna je proto dobře dostupná i pro tělesně postižené či vozíčkáře. Bez použití výtahu vede k vyhlídkové plošině 81 schodů.

From the lookout tower there is a wonderful panoramic view of the table mountains, rock towers and ridges of Saxon Switzerland. From the Rauenstein mountain, over the large and small Bärenstein, the Königstein fortress, Lilienstein, Pfaffestein, Papstein, Groβer Zchirstein, Děčínský Sněžník, Falkenstein to the jagged Schrammsteine ​​ridge.

For tired tourists, there is a pool with cold water near the lookout tower for foot baths using the so-called Kneipp method. By regularly alternating feet in the pool, the overheated organism cools down sharply, blood circulation in the legs improves, and the heart and circulatory system are strengthened.

The lookout tower is easily accessible from Bad Schandau by foot or by car. In case of adverse weather conditions (snow, frost, strong winds, etc.), the lookout tower is closed.
