Church of St. Mary Magdalene – Krásná Lípa

The Baroque single-nave church of St. Mary Magdalene from 1754–1758 was built on the site of the original simple church. The church is now a dominant feature of the town. The interior of the church dates from the 18th–19th centuries and includes the main altar from 1808 by Dominik Kindermann, a Rococo pulpit from 1765 and a baptismal font with a marble statue of a sleeping boy from 1820 by Ferdinand Pettrich. The access from the square is via a staircase from 1818, decorated with statues. Nearby is Kostelní vrch, where a chapel and the Stations of the Cross used to stand.
