Woven rugs, pouches, bags

The Markétky Workshop, which has offices in Šluknov and Horní Poustevna, has received certification for its woven products: a woven carpet, a pocket square, and a woven bag.

These products are 100% handmade by  clients of the Integrated Center for People with Disabilities Horní Poustevna, which has been operating in Šluknov regionfor more than 50 years. Social therapeutic workshops, where clients acquire and develop work and self-service habits and skills, significantly help them on their way to greater independence.  

Raw materials  for weaving products are obtained from residual material from local factories and companies. Linen and cotton fabrics are mainly used, and wood is also used as a supplement. Weaving and textile industry have a long tradition in the area, and these products continue this tradition.

Products can also be ordered to order in sizes and designs according to the customer’s requirements.

Our products can be purchased at the workplaces of social therapeutic workshops at the address Horní Poustevna Nr. 40, 407 82 Dolní Poustevna and T.G.Masaryka Nr. 575, 407 77 Šluknov Monday to Friday from 8 am to 3 pm.
