We have prepared a list of the top 10 romantic spots where you will experience the most beautiful moments in Bohemian Switzerland. The best sunsets, pure romance, and breathtaking viewpoints – the perfect backdrops for your May Day kiss.

It’s finally happening. Just the two of you, together. But where to head out? We will try to help you out a bit, because we know that when a person is deeply in love, they don’t have time to ponder over practicalities. It’s the details and the shared moments that matter. And those are exactly what await you in the heart of nature.

Tiské stěny (Tisá Rocks)

These are perfect sandstone formations where you can stroll along paths dusted with fine white sand, passing patches of wild blueberries, elegant birches, and fragrant pines. Climbing up to the viewpoints only heightens the feeling of pure happiness – gorgeous vistas, just the two of you closer to the clouds, a whispering forest, and birdsong. This is what true romance looks like.

Rájecké skály (Rájec Rocks)

Want to feel like you are in paradise? Then a visit to Rájecké skály is the ultimate choice for you. It is just as beautiful here as in Tiské stěny—if not even more beautiful—yet it sees far fewer tourists. Perhaps that is because the viewpoints here are strictly accessible to rock climbers, meaning you will only be able to admire the towers from below, unless, of course, you routinely carry a climbing rope in your pockets.

Lesopark pod Kvádrberkem, Labská Stráž or…

How can you best enjoy romance near the Elbe river? First, savour a quiet coffee at one of the cafés on the Elbe embankment. Afterwards, ascend through the forest park to the Kvádrberk table mountain, which offers a highly captivating view not only of the town of Děčín but also of the Elbe Canyon and the peaks of the České středohoří (Central Bohemian Uplands).

From here, a forest path allows you to slip into even greater privacy – leading to the Labská Stráž (Elbe Watch) viewpoint, dominated by a sandstone pavilion. This spot grants you a magnificent view of the Růžový hřeben (Rose Ridge) stretching towards Saxon Switzerland. Leaning against the cool stone together, breathing in the scent of pines, and gazing into the depths of the largest sandstone canyon in Europe? You are practically asking for a beautiful case of vertigo!

Plan your romantic moments shared at Růžová vyhlídka so that you arrive precisely for the golden hour, or at least late in the evening. The setting sun genuinely often tints the rock face pink. The warm, soft evening light combined with the cool air rising from the canyon can create an atmosphere far finer than a violin serenade beneath a balcony in Verona.

Municipal Park in Krásná Lípa and Kögler’s Educational Trail

You can spend a lovely, romantic day in Krásná Lípa—and you will quickly discover that it is truly a beautiful place. To quietly enjoy a golden brew and satisfy your taste buds with finely crafted food, take a seat at the Pivovar Falkenštejn brewery right on the main square. A romantic stroll is offered by the nearby municipal park or Köglerova naučná stezka (Kögler’s educational trail). And if you are searching for absolute tranquility, you will experience it at Kamenná Horka at the viewpoint by Kögler’s Cross (Vyhlídka u Köglerova kříže).

Kyjov Dam (Kyjovská přehrada)

Another pleasant walk awaits you in the Kyjovské údolí (Kyjov Valley), where the Kyjovská přehrada reservoir hides behind the tall grass of an unmown meadow. If you venture further, you will find yourself on the banks of the Křinice river, from where it is just a short hop to Nová Perla (New Pearl)—an extravagant slip of the avant-garde art world into the reality of the northern borderlands. It doesn’t just offer art; you can also get refreshments here.

Sněžná, Vlčí hora, and Midsummer Herbs

The most beautiful route from the Kyjovské údolí valley to the lookout tower on Vlčí hora passes through Sněžná, a deserted, serene place with a dilapidated church and a bittersweet atmosphere. The lookout tower is well worth the trip, if only for the lovely walk through a bird reserve.
What you definitely shouldn’t miss is the aromatherapy garden of Nobilis Tilia in Vlčí Hora, complete with its adjacent Herbal Tea Room, where you can unwind and recharge your batteries. You can then wrap up your romantic day by staying overnight in the stylish Vlčihorská chaloupka cottage, completely surrounded by nature.

Rynartice, Wellness Hotel Zámeček

While it doesn’t boast dramatic, towering viewpoints, the babbling water of the stream, moss-covered rock faces, romantic footbridges spanning the Chřibská Kamenice river, and other surprises tucked into the landscape will break the ice in any season.

When you find yourself in front of a grand red building resembling a chateau in Rynartice, definitely don’t head home. Instead, enjoy some peace, quiet, and romance for two right here. You are standing right outside the Wellness Hotel Zámeček.

Děčín Castle

Are you planning a proposal and choosing the perfect spot to ask for your love’s hand in marriage? A castle proposal is the most dreamed-of scenario of all, and Bohemian Switzerland offers several such opportunities. You can go grand at Děčínský zámek – the castle gardens featuring a Tea Pavilion, a historic fountain, and free-roaming peacocks are the perfect setting for romantic strolls.
