Cross Park Marathon – Running Race

Cross Parkmaraton is an event that, in a very unconventional way, through a genuine experience, highlights the attractiveness of the Šluknov Promontory and the Bohemian Switzerland National Park. The running race, which is also part of the Bohemian Switzerland Day, consists of the following races: Marathon, Half Marathon, 10 km, Relays, Canicross, Nordic Walking, Kids’ Races.

The event is organized by the PARKMARATON z.s. association, represented by Mgr. Marianka Krásnolipská and a number of other partners (e.g.: National Park Administration of the Czech Republic and the Czech Switzerland company o.p.s.)

Competitors register from all over the Czech Republic but also from abroad (Poland, Germany) – the event therefore has a cross-border character. During the Day of Bohemian Switzerland, diverse communities of people are connected that would probably rarely connect otherwise. Thanks to the relay races, relationships are also strengthened in local companies that prepare for the races together.

A number of local manufacturers are also supporting the running race with their products, such as:

• For the purpose of the race, the beer Svižný Emil was produced in cooperation with the local regional certified brewery Falkenštejn, which gained great popularity not only among competitors and participants of the Parkmarathon.
• Local blacksmith Miroslav Petrášek makes original medals that runners chase from far away as if they were a trophy that cannot be obtained anywhere else.
• Manna Chocolate has developed chocolate insoles that are also a sweet surprise for athletes.

In 2025, the 16th edition of this race will take place; it is scheduled for Saturday, August 30!!!
