Ever since cold-water therapy became the new big trend, everyone seems to prefer bathing in winter in a tub full of ice. In this article, however, we are sticking to the summer classics and serving you the very best lido atmosphere in Bohemian Switzerland.

Aquapark in Děčín

This water park has everything you could possibly want from summer swimming. Children can go wild in the pool packed with attractions and a large water slide. For swimmers who want to get their peaceful lap portion in, there is still plenty of room in two other pools. And then there is the spacious chrome marvel featuring a deep diving pit. Even during the most intense heatwaves, there is plenty of space for lounging on the sun-warmed concrete terraces as well as on the spacious grassy lawns. You can play beach volleyball, grab a bite at the outdoor buffet, and you can even stay overnight at the Aquahotel. In case of bad weather, you can make full use of the indoor complex, which features three water slides, a 50-metre swimming pool, two children’s pools, two whirlpools, and a pleasant wellness zone.

The swimming pool in České Kamenici has undergone a massive transformation in recent years, and the complex is gradually becoming a highly pleasant spot for summer fun. You will be pleasantly surprised by the rich and unconventional selection of local refreshments. Newly during the summer season, you can also pitch your own tent, spend the night in a fully equipped glamping tent with a kitchenette, or even stay in a luxuriously furnished bungalow. At the motorhome stopover (stellplatz), you can recharge your electric vehicle, top up your water supply, and empty your waste 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Thermal swimming pool in Benešov nad Ploučnicí

This swimming pool lies less than a kilometre from the castle and is locally referred to as “thermal” because the water temperature sits around a comfortable 26°C. Relax on the grassy lawn and grab a refreshment at the local kiosk. In July and August, when the weather is nice, it is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00. The season does not end here in August either – throughout September, you can come for a swim from 14:00 to 18:00, even on weekdays.

Kyjov Dam

A gorgeous spot with even more gorgeous surroundings. After a hike through the Kyjovské údolí valley and the icy Křinice river, come here to warm up on the meadow and take a dip in the reservoir, which was beautifully renovated last year – meaning we should probably stop calling it the “burst dam” (protržená), don’t you think?

Olešský rybník

If you fancy swimming in a natural pond but don’t want to sacrifice classic lido comforts like refreshments, clean toilets, sports pitches, and other amenities, head over to Oleška!

Swimming pool and camp in Jetřichovice

Another swimming pool boasting a wonderful natural atmosphere, nestled in a woodland valley just a short distance from Jetřichovice. It comes complete with a campsite, children’s playground, volleyball, and ping-pong facilities. Within the complex, there is a small restaurant with outdoor seating that also serves breakfast.
