Schindler Hosiery – Nylon socks, knee-highs, tights, and stockings have been manufactured in Krásná Lípa since 1854.

There is no other knitting mill in the Czech Republic with a history spanning more than 165 years that continues to produce hosiery. The tradition of this craft, here in Krásná Lípa, has never been interrupted. Knowledge and expertise have been passed down from generation to generation for decades.

In keeping with our motto, “Tradition is about passing on traditions, not worshipping the past,” we are pleased to introduce a traditional regional product—Krásná Lípa stockings—under the Schindler 1854 Krásná Lípa brand, which pays tribute to the company’s founder with new, attractive packaging.

History

In 1854, Stefan Schindler began manufacturing hosiery in Krásná Lípa under modest conditions and gradually grew to become one of the largest manufacturers of such goods. Subsequent generations have continued his work:
