This backcountry mountain biking tour lets you ride natural, rocky trails, with a mix of ancient forest footpaths and new trails, the result of the efforts of local trail builders. You’ll spend a day in the incredible beauty of two national park areas straddling the Czech-German border. Bohemian Switzerland and Saxon Switzerland were so named by a pair of Swiss Romantic painters who once travelled, and painted, this area; the countryside reminded them of the Alpine landscape that was their home.
This MTB day trip is full of uphills, downhills and some technical sections and rock gardens. You’ll be riding trails in Europe’s deepest sandstone canyon, with its bizarre rock formations. You’ll also hit the two major sandstone mesas of the area: Děčínský Sněžník, with an elevation of 723 m above sea level is not only the highest and the largest table top mountain in the Czech Republic, but also a popular starting point of the local trail area; its counterpart on the German side of the border is Großer Zschirnsten. Both of them will astound you with mesmerizing views.

1.) Short MTB beginner & family + MTB Rental
According to your abilities the guide will choose a trail suitable to your cycling skills. You will start at our rental shop and we will transport you to the starting point at the Sneznik table top mountain in order to skip the first harder part of the ascent by shuttle. Afterwards follows a descent on forest gravel roads back to our shop. We´ll have a drink & snack at a local café.

2.) Classical MTB Day Tour - advanced
You will start at our rental shop because the trails are from here directly accesible. According to your abilities you will decide, together with the guide, which of our tours will be most suitable for your cycling skills. Let´s have a local style lunch on our journey. There are basicly three day tours to choose from.
- Bohemian-Saxon Switzerland - 40 miles / 64km / 2300 m
- Bohemian-Saxon Switzerland - 25 miles / 45 km / 1100 m
- Bohemian Highland - 35 miles / 55 km / 1600 m
A hardtail bike you can book extra at our rental shop. Good physical health and advanced cycling skills required.
