Stoj\u00ed na zn\u011blcov\u00e9m suku (670 m n. m.) v p\u00edskovcov\u00e9 oblasti. Jeho n\u00e1zev vznikl z p\u016fvodn\u00edho n\u011bmeck\u00e9ho jm\u00e9na Dohlenstein (Kav\u010d\u00ed hrad). Hrad <strong>pat\u0159il k op\u011brn\u00fdm bod\u016fm rozs\u00e1hl\u00e9ho panstv\u00ed vartenbersk\u00e9 v\u011btve Markvatic\u016f<\/strong> nad severu \u010cech. Prvn\u00ed zm\u00ednky o hradu poch\u00e1zej\u00ed z 13. stolet\u00ed a v\u00ed se, \u017ee prvn\u00edm majitelem by Van\u00edk z Vartenberka. Z\u00e1nik hradu p\u0159inesla t\u0159icetilet\u00e1 v\u00e1lka, kdy byl zap\u00e1len a pobo\u0159en. V 19. stolet\u00ed p\u0159inesl romantismus o\u017eiven\u00ed z\u00e1jmu o hrad a roku 1866 zde byla vybudov\u00e1na restaurace.          <\/p>\n<p>The top of the rock formation is accessible via stairs and a footbridge from the restaurant, where an admission fee is charged. The view from the top, overlooking the castle, extends in all directions. You can see the peaks of the Lusatian Mountains, the \u0160luknov region, and Upper Lusatia, as well as the forested area toward Kr\u00e1sn\u00e1 L\u00edpa. From Ji\u0159et\u00edn, it\u2019s about 500 m toward the hamlet of Rozhled, and then just about 2 km along a small road to the castle.
