Filipov is an important Marian pilgrimage site associated with the apparition of the Virgin Mary on January 13, 1866 and the healing of Magdalene Kade. Regular Czech-German masses are held in the monumental pilgrimage church with the honorary title of minor basilica. Organ concert listeners flock here throughout the year. The pilgrimage church is managed by the Roman Catholic parish of Ji\u0159\u00edkov. The pilgrimage church (1873\u20131884) and the chapel of mercy (1870\u20131873) in Filipov are important sacral monuments of northern Bohemia. The blessing of the chapel of the Healing of the Sick took place on January 13, 1873 and the church of Our Lady Help of Christians on October 11, 1885. The construction of the chapel and the church was carried out according to the plans of Franz Hutzler from Vienna by Gustav Sachers from Liberec and Josef Hampel from Rumburk.
