The village was founded in 1589 during the colonization of the border regions. Today, the village serves primarily as a recreational destination.   <\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #8f1221;\">Points of Interest <\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The village is home to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ceskesvycarsko.cz\/cs\/zazitky\/cile\/sakralni-pamatky\/vlci-hora-kostel-panny-marie-karmelske\">the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel<\/a>, built in 1870 and featuring Classicist furnishings, as well as a memorial to the victims of World War I.
