Suchá Kamenice

A steep canyon about 1 km from Hřensko in the direction of Děčín. Originally used for timber rafting until the 18th century, it is only used as a walk trail. The brook bearing the same name is one of the water courses which are almost dry for the most part of the year. A grain mill was built here in 1793-1882, and a saw mill and a tan mill were added later. An inn was built by the road in 1830. However, both of these structures no longer exist. There are two memorial plates in the canyon related to timber rafting, and a rock bench to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the accession of Emperor Francis Joseph I to the throne.
