Česká Kamenice – St. Jacob the Greater church
A Late Gothic three-nave church with Classicistic and Rococo interior decoration. The foundation walls date back to the 12th century. In the 14th century it became a parish church and retained this status until 1622, when it was promoted to a deanery church. Between 1614 and 1631 the church underwent large-scale reconstruction and obtain its current appearance. You will find here the Renaissance-style tombstone of Christopher of Vartenberk from the 16th century and an interesting Baroque baptistery. In 1856-1857 the church’s organ was regularly played by Antonín Dvořák.
