Bohemian Switzerland by Boat

Bohemian Switzerland is above all a Mecca for campers, hikers and ramblers. Despite this however, you can wonder at the monumental nature of the rocks and river valleys without having to take a single step – for example, from the deck of a boat. And if you are missing a proper hike after all, there is nothing stopping you from setting out from the dock right into the heart of the wilderness!

The Poseidon

You will be able to view the monumental beauty of the Elbe Canyon from the deck of the Poseidon on its way from Děčín via Hřensko to Bad Schandau and before you sail back, you can for example stop off at the gorges, at Pravčická brána (Pravčická Gateway) or at least to have a nice lunch. “Za hranice” boat and inflatable raft rental

Set out beyond the borders of the working day and get to know the landscape of the unique Elbe Canyon from the surface of the Elbe. The water here is calm and suitable for absolute beginners as well as for families with children. If the water level is high enough, you can even try out the lower course of the Ploučnice, which has almost been forgotten these days.  More...

Hřensko Gorges

A romantic walk awaits you through the countryside along the course of the Kamenice brook surrounded on both sides by high rock walls. Two sections of the route can only be travelled by boat – Edmundova soutěska (Edmund’s Gorge) and Divoká soutěska (Wild Gorge). A boat will carry you through the rock formations and the boatman will familiarise you with the living and fossilised inhabitants of the gorges. More...
